Bought a new USB BT adapter and let Windows install MS drivers, now I don't have A2DP. Annoying.

I don't understand why BT is so hard to get working under
Windows. It just works under Mac OS X and I understand it's pretty
easy to get working under Linux but I've heard nothing but
complaints about Windows BT.
I've actually had a good past with BT and Windows. Used Widcomm
drivers for forever, decided to try the MS drivers this time
around. It could be that my dongle doesn't support
A2DP, but I thought it was included by default in BT 2.0?
The Windows drivers, at least in XP, have always had pretty
minimal BT profile support, so I'm not surprised they don't do
A2DP. Widcomm is a mixed bag, as often the driver set provided by
OEM vendors is very old, and either buggy or missing various BT
profiles. My old work laptop had Widcomm, and the new one uses the
Toshiba BT stack and the Toshiba one seems to work better.

I've also had good luck with windows drivers. I prefer them over the widcomm drivers which i've found cumbersome and overly complicated.

I have Toshiba drivers now. Only way I could get A2DP working.
I loved the widcomm drivers though. Right click/send was so easy. Receive was simple.
Microsoft's solution was all messed up. You have to turn on receive first. That makes no sense.
