I hear the new iphone is gonna have a screen also. And it's gonna store contact info... Should I tip them off?

Yeah, you know what? I heard that it even makes phone calls. I wonder if I should go write up a story on all my blogs?

Yeah! And you can send little emails, curiously called 'ess-em-ess' messages. Weird. Although, from what I hear, it won't send pictures to a phone number, I think they call that 'em-em-ess'. Those crazy Apple people, thinking up all these crazy names. Cause you know they invented it all, right?

Its news because no other phone comes with kool-aid Ricky; you know u can drink some too; but I hear that companies from the EU usually prefer harder drinks to get hooked onto :P

MacRumors picked it up as well. I think it's time to quit blogging...

@arjw - I'll confess to drinking certain flavors of kool-aid, that's no problem. But if I started posting 'news' and 'rumors' that The N96 was going to allow me to watch TV on the go, or that a future Nokia would offer touch, and pretended like it was some fantastic achievement, no one would read S-G anymore, and neither would I.

I know I'm a Nokia fanboy, and thus my opinions on the iPhone are often dismissed, and I'm fine with that. It's just really really annoying that certain publications continue to post features and well-known rumors as if they're 'news'.

I'd argue Ricky that if you did the same with Nokia (not that I am advocating it, SG has a great mix of rumors and content IMO) that the attention would come as well. The fact that Engadget and others can put spin on such mundane features, and have it amount to free marketing for Apple does mean that it does work - have merit is a different story.

Not sure I get this ... They are just realizing that 3G eats battery?

I was more floored that it's 'news' of a 3G iPhone. The story makes it sound like this is some fantastic discovery or something.

@atmasphere: no, Jobs said at intro that they wern't doing 3G because the chipsets werent power efficient enough. Nevertheless, a lot of not-US carriers wanted 3G, so Apple has made it work. Considering the battery performance on EDGE, I wouldn't be surprised if what they got to work is much better than anything not named the E61i.
