yay and nay. tv out on nokia devices is all about showing you on
your TV what you see on your display ... which is a bit retarded.
the < 3 inch screen in your pocket viewing paradigm is not the
same as the 6 feet away on a couch viewing paradigm. fone+ is also
for the emerging markets where pc penetration is low, but people
have televisions and mobile phones so connecting your device to a
TV and having a make shift PC is what they're aiming for. fone+ is
a great PR name, but it isn't just straight up TV out.
Reading that article, I realize it's targeted towards developing
nations and whatnot, but it sure sounds like they're just going to
add TV-out to phones headed to developing nations.
