@constantine that's a dumb solution. I already own an S60, and I already carry it around with me all over. Why on earth would I want to buy ANOTHER device and carry that with me?

you have a N800 you take with you all the time lol and if you were a hard core gamer you would buy a psp or nintendo ds versus ngage and you know it. you already have a man bag, not like the psp is too heavy or big to fit in it. i'm thinking about picking one up myself, the new slim version.

touche, though I can't blog from the PSP as I can from the tablet. there's also a thread on ITT about a PS1 emulator for the tablet, which would be pretty cool, save for the lack of hardware buttons which make gaming difficult.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, just a casual one. I'd like to snag Tomb Raider 2, Intelligent Qube, and a few other PSone classics, that's all.

i have a ds and a phatty PSP back home in the states, whoever is fucking stupid enough to judge a platform based on the hardware specifications and not the games is an assflute in my book.

  • rcadden

@constantine I base my judgement not on hardware specifications but on abilities and convenience, and you know that good and well. If that makes me an assflute (wtf?) then so be it.

that comment wasn't directed at you, but instead meant as the introduction to the impending DS vs PSP fight that this thread will no doubt experience.

aha. All I will say in response to that, regardless, is that my N95 can play NES, SNES, GBA, CGBA, and Sega games, in addition to j2me and .sis games. Thus, if we're basing the competition on games, rather than hardware, my N95 spanks the monkey and sends it home to momma with a rotten banana.

actually the psp plays nes, snes, gba, psp, ps1, sega master, sega genesis, neo geo and i think i'm forgetting one, games.

@whatleydude I've yet to play mario galaxy! I dont have console... just the DS because i like to play on the go. I have considered getting a PS3 for the bluray player but i dont think there are any games i really want to play for it. The game im waiting for is Spore.

I love my PSP. Its pretty damn versatile and Sony is STILL adding functionality to it. I am very impressed with both what Sony has added to it over the years as well as the homebrew community. I recently lost my TV Remote and damn that was annoying, couldn't change inputs, thankfully I knew there was a universal remote app for my PSP. Took me all of 15 minutes to find it, install it, and then snag the files I needed from the good ol' LIRC. With already having a N800 though it does seem to duplicate much of the functionality. If you're as much of a pirate as I am getting the impresion Stefan is then you can get access to the entire library of games, not to meniton all of the emulators and their associated libraries. Its a very nice device, great screen and it holds up very well. I have had mine since launch day and have had no issues with it at all.

The PSP's a great device but I haven't touched mine in months on end. Sadly, the quality of the games available just can't compare to what you get on the DS.

and a DS without an R4 programmable ROM is next to useless.
